Solar energy is created by nuclear fusion that takes place in the sun. Care to re-phrase your statement?

That point was already mentioned... so yeah, it's all nuclear. But I was not wrong to say most of our energy on earth is of solar origin; I just didn't specify that solar energy is actually derived from fusion. My statement actually referred to energy on earth coming either from the sun or a bit from natural nuclear processes in the core. I was not referring specifically to electricity derived from nuclear stations.

And dinosaur excrement (oil) and dinosaur farts (natural gas) are just some strange variations of batteries, I guess. (And before you call me out on that, take it as intended... humour.)

Those aren't "monthly data" values. Those are the "year-over-year" numbers.

"September 30, 2022 ……. 8.20%" means that prices are 8.2% higher than they were in SEPTEMBER 2021, while
"August 31, 2022 ………….. 8.26%" means that prices are 8.26% higher than they were in AUGUST 2021.

Now, you might notice something about those date ranges -- they OVERLAP by 11 months. Your counting inflation from last year in this month's number.

So, if we look at the actual monthly numbers, we see that it peaked earlier this year, and has been going down significantly over the last three months.

J F M A M J J A S O N D
2021 0.4 0.5 0.7 0.8 0.8 0.9 0.5 0.2 0.3 0.8 0.5 0.3
2022 0.8 0.9 1.3 0.6 1.1 1.4 0.0 0.0 0.2

Putting Biden's recent numbers right in the range of Trump's pre-pandemic numbers:

2018 0.5 0.5 0.2 0.4 0.4 0.2 0.0 0.1 0.1 0.2 -0.3 -0.3
2019 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.5 0.2 0.0 0.2 0.0 0.1 0.2 -0.1 -0.1

More disinformation and propaganda coming from the idiots that think that the American people are not smart enough to know that the country is going to shit under Biden.

Which is completely irrelevant to the point I was making.

As I said, no one can change what happened 10 months ago, only what's happening now. And, RIGHT NOW, inflation is low.

Inflation is actually worse than what the government reports, if you do much grocery shopping or maybe have an adjustable mortgage, or God forbid are in the housing market. The way that the government calculates inflation is also a bit less than honest. - see below link.

Biden has done little to bring down inflation in fact he continues to make it worse, he is currently sending out checks for Student Loan Debt Relief, you know the $500 Billion EO that he signed a while back and I damn sure hope that the courts get involved because what he is doing is unconstitutional. Just the fact that he is still using Covid to pass emergency measures if puro BullShit. How is it that title 42 applies to Venezuelans but not to Nicaraguans? How much effect do you think replenishing the SPR will have on gas prices when the government replaces those few hundred million barrels of oil that Biden sold in his attempt to protect his party in the midterms?

At any rate back to inflation. The government manipulates inflation numbers.... Looking at it month to month is not only a fools errand it is dishonest.

Please explain to us unenlightened ones, how 8.2 % inflation is low. I think you're using some o that new Biden math.

(Sigh)..

ONCE AGAIN....8.2% is over the last YEAR... the summation of 12 monthly increases. But, No one can do anything about what happened 11 months ago.

Biden can only deal with NOW. And, now, the inflation rate is low. The last three monthly rates were 0.1, 0.0 and 0.4 or 0.5 for the quarter, annualized to 2.0%

That is just pure garbage. You really have to be pretty dumb to accept that. In fact if you are not looking at the inflation rate from last year to see where it was at you really don't get the full picture of how much Biden is hurting American families. For instance.... When Biden came to office the inflation rate was 1.4, September of 2021 it was 5.25, September of 2022 8.2 so doing simple math it is clear that Biden has taken just over 12 cents of every one of your dollars through his money printing policies.

ONCE AGAIN...... Why do you keep beating the dead horse about nobody can do anything about what happened last year? Who is saying we can? But what we can do, is look at the past so we don't make the same mistakes again. The main driver of inflation is the stimulus packages that both Biden and Trump had a hand in.
You're trying to change inflation like your side tried to change the definition of recession.
We know the 8.2% is over last year. We know the monthly rates over the preceding months have been low. If it was down .1% last month, that doesn't mean inflation is at -.1%. It's still at 8.2%. Your claim that inflation is low is ridiculous. Now if you wanna claim a particular monthly rate is low, that's fine. But you claimed inflation is low and it's not.

NO! The current inflation rate is NOT “low”! (Curran’s quote: ”And, now, the inflation rate is low.”)

The inflation rate average (what people actually have to “pay”) is STILL currently 8.3 !

Mr. Curran may sigh, whine, cry, scream, deny, or obfuscate, it does not really matter if the rates are “monthly” or “annualized”.
The CURRENT (monthly) rate-of-increase may be low (for the last three months).
The OVERALL inflation rate (annual average) remains excessive.

The undeniable FACT: Inflation is WORSE now, no matter what mathematical “trickery” is employed.

And the inflation-rate increase has occurred during FJ-Biden’s tenure. (*)

This shows FJ-Biden “inherited” an inflation rate of ~1.3 ( a 4 month previous average), and in February the rate began to increase to 1.7, in March it had increased to 2.6, in April to 4.2, in May to 5.0, in June to 5.4 where it essentially remained flat until September, then in October through December averaged ~6.6.

Heck, we could even analyze by governmental Fiscal Year (Oct 01–>Spt30):

And STILL FJ-Biden shows up on the losing end of the stick!
~~~~~~~~
Coincidentally, some policies initiated by FJ-Biden, et.al., commencing on his first day in office, compounded the problems of the economy and the nation.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 1:
Biden ordered a nationwide mask-wearing and social-distancing mandate on federal lands, in federal buildings, and for federal employees and contractors.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 2:
Rejoin the World Health Organization.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 3:
Set up a Covid office that reports directly to Biden.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 4:
Extend foreclosure and eviction moratoriums.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 5:
Freeze student debt collection.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 6:
Rejoining the Paris climate accords.
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Sent the United Nations a document that will make the U.S. party to the agreement in 30 days.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 7:
Revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline and canceled other Trump administration energy rules.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 8:
Terminated the Trump administration’s 1776 Commission, a project aimed at promoting a more conservative history curriculum in U.S. schools.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 9:
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Revoked the Trump administration efforts to exclude undocumented immigration from the U.S. census,.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10:
Strengthen legal protections for “Dreamers” (DACA).
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11:
Abolish the “Muslim ban”
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Ended Trump administration’s ban on people from several majority Muslim countries entering the United States.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 12:
Cancel the Trump administration’s interior enforcement rule
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Biden revoked a Trump executive order that massively expanded immigration officials’ interior enforcement work and broadened the categories of who they should try to detain and deport.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 13:
Terminated Border Wall construction.
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Biden declared an immediate termination of the national emergency declaration that the Trump administration used to divert federal funding to building the U.S.-Mexico border wall, and ordered a pause on its construction.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 14:
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Extend deportation protections for Liberians.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 15:
Ban workplace discrimination against LGBT employees.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 16:
Implement an ethics pledge for all executive branch officials
EXECUTIVE ORDER 17:
REVERSAL OF TRUMP ORDER
Biden signed an order that will freeze all Trump administration regulations currently in process, blocking them from taking effect while the new administration reviewed them.
(And that was THE FIRST DAY !
OVERALL, however, the TOTAL increase in inflation is much higher than it was in 2018, 2019 or 2020.
No matter what distorted basis or twisted word-play is employed, no matter how the data is attempted to be parsed, inflation is still higher under the present administration than it was prior to FJ-Biden’s inauguration.
The only way the data you have supplied is relevant to the concept of decreasing inflation, would be if the numbers were NEGATIVE. This only occurred [your data] in two years: 2018 and 2019.
Unless history is completely wrong, the President at that time WAS NOT FJ-BIDEN.
People are still paying more, usually for less received product(s).
People are still facing increases in fuel costs.
People are still seeing electricity costs increase monthly.
People are still facing large increases in their food costs.
People are still watching vast increases in bills for medical services.
And perhaps most importantly, people are observing the obvious attempts to “buy” votes by such blatant policies as student debt “forgiveness”, or depleting the National Petroleum Reserve to save, what, ten cents a gallon? All while promoting rabid electrofukation of the entire society — with no apparent pre-existing infrastructure to support such a transition.
— No increase in Nuclear power plant licensing or construction.
— No concentrated effort to develop and promote carbon sequestration technologies for natural gas power generation stations.
— No effort at all to promote research into manners to allow an environmentally friendly, non-polluting way to use coal (America’s most abundant hydrocarbon resource).
— No investigation of the transition-cost for complete electrification.
”Electrification is not a cost-effective means of reducing carbon emissions from commercial or residential buildings nor from transportation. There are more efficient and less costly means to reduce atmospheric carbon, including a range of carbon capture approaches.”).
— And the list goes on . . . .
Frankly, people blame FJ-Biden, his administration, the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as local governments for their plight.
