Have you ever spent all day trying to find good stuff to shoot only to find that when you got back to your hotel room the view out of the window gave you one of the better shots of the day? Here are two of mine, both from the west coast of Scotland.

Feel free to post your own.

Another day dawns for humanity. Lucky alignment with that tower block. Thanks for posting.

I'll grant that only one of the attached was shot through a hotel window (the others were shot out the windows of an inn, so I hope they still qualify), and that three of the four may arguably be more about the inside than they are about the outside, but all were shot at places I've stayed. Can't complain about what I'd found to shoot earlier, before I'd gone inside though. At least I sure liked it.

Yes, they qualify, and they are excellent examples too.
All of the posts so far really make me . . . .

PS: I spent a lot of $$$ once on a room "With a View" in a well-known London Hotel.
The view was of a very narrow alley that was lined on both sides with the hotel's dumpsters, LOL!
I will be kind and not post the pic, as it could wind up in the "UHH Critique" section, hahaha.

Loch Ness in 1975. We were lucky enough to see Nessie pop up for a moment!

Did they specify what kind of view? It's hardly their fault if you go making all kinds of presumptions . Maybe you were one of the lucky ones that actually had a window .

Talk about lucky! . On the other hand most Nessie sightings seem to take place during the tourist season, so maybe not so strange .

Of course, you are right, and I received a valuable education.
I wonder if my education will qualify for a tuition refund.
