I still have to digitize some old family photos for this (thanks, Dane - I’ve been β€œintending” to do this for some time and this will spur me to do it).
Meanwhile, here are a few other memories …

I met my Great Grandma Daisy when I was 10 years old. She was a very strong individual! She spent some time in Alaska. She was given the name Permelia when she was born but decided to be "Daisy" and so she changed her name. After she met me she began a friendship with me by writing letters to me after she had returned to her home in Boston. When in her mid 80's she knit me a two piece outfit, a skirt and a top . She was very talented! I love her outfit in this photo!

Great photo of a memorable relative and an impressive-looking individual πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘πŸ‘‘

Just in case you do not recognize the name "Kenner"

I got it right away, Gene, but I didn't know for sure. Working with a bunch of toy-makers and developers must have been an awesome job

Flattery will get you everywhere! Did you get your other home all winterized and plants pulled etc?

Yes, I did. And the three times I completely cleaned the yard, it filled back up when I was sleeping. So on the third day, I left it all there to await me in March. My only problem left is piney squirrels in the small roof above my front door (A separate structure not connected internally to the main roof, only resting on it). Two pieces of soffit missing, and I can hear them gnawing. I went up with the ladder and stuffed some bricks and stones to keep them out. They got back in anyway

Yeah, I was drooling over some of these boards until my 89 year old dad says "we're going to put a new sliding door on this opening.

I guess you can tell this was my first attempt at posting to a forum. I was replying to a post about craftsmen loving old barn wood, didn't reference the post, and now can't find it. Plus meant to post two pictures and hit send too soon. I'll catch on.
