On your original message, to which I responded, you said just "a plan to ban the use of gas". Which anyone would take to mean gasoline.

Maybe should not assume that just because you assumed it meant gasoline that "anyone" would make the same assumption.

You just doubled stacked your own assumptions then assumed it was a fact, or so it seems.

And BOTH contribute to CO and CO2 excesses . . . .

Gasoline IS NOT A GAS! It is a LIQUID!

It may be called “gas” because people are too lazy to say “gasoline”.

Both are derived from fossil origins.

True enough.

So... I suppose the entire universe is just ONE HELL OF A BIG NUCLEAR BLAST that has lasted some 14 billion years!!!

Yep! And “Inflation” occurred at the beginning! Now it* is becoming more out-of-control.

* Economic Inflation, this time.

Bottom line, the initial observation still stands. "If it weren't for double standards, the Democcrats wouldn't have any standards."

Forget "who's on first."

I have no desire to argue...but...

Gasoline is a very volatile liquid, meaning it changes rapidly from a liquid to a gas. When gasoline ignites it is the fumes just above the surface of the liquid that burns...not the liquid itself.

Just getting technical.

I agree with your assessment.

Gasoline and similar fuels (e.g. alcohol) have a LOW Flash Point (FP). They are regarded as “flammable”.
Other liquid substances with a HIGH flash point are termed “combustible”, they do not emit ignitable vapors at standard (or “common”) temperatures.
Low FP = <~100*F, High FP = >~100*F.

And the “fumes above the liquid that burns” is true of ANY volatile liquid. And some flammable solids (e.g. sulfur) or coal, wood &c. which undergo pyrolysis.

SOURCE: https://blink.ucsd.edu/safety/research-lab/chemical/liquids/index.html

— Flammable and combustible liquids ignite easily and burn with extreme rapidity.

— Flammability is determined by the flash point of a material.

— Flash point is the minimum temperature at which a liquid forms a vapor above its surface in sufficient concentration that it can be ignited.

— Flammable liquids have a flash point of less than 100°F. Liquids with lower flash points ignite easier.

— Combustible liquids have a flashpoint at or above 100°F.

— The vapor burns, not the liquid itself. The rate at which a liquid produces flammable vapors depends upon its vapor pressure.

— The vaporization rate increases as the temperature increases. Therefore, flammable and combustible liquids are more hazardous at elevated temperatures than at room temperature.”

~~~~~
The argument of a vapor being required is non-factual for specific solids such as nitrogen tri-iodide, gunpowder and other explosives.
Just being thorough.
No. It was out of control a year ago. The "year over Year" rate is about 8%. But the month-over month rates for July, August and September were 0.1%, 0.0%, & 0.4% respectively --- 0.5% for the quarter, or a perfectly normal 2% annualized.
It's worthwhile to note that inflation is still out of control in the various European countries (England, Italy, Hungry, et al) where they continue with a populist right-wing leader, and is only going down in the US, where we threw out our populist right-wing leader and replaced him with a progressive Democrat.
Another Disinformation rant. Not factual. But that does not matter to sycophants of the current FJ-Biden administration.
It would be expedient and intelligent to present factual information, not falsehoods and non-factual data.
It should be pointed out that inflation is still out of control in the U.S., “where we threw out our populist right-wing leader and replaced him with a progressive Democrat.”
And where, exactly, has THAT gotten us? Or improved most peoples lives or purchasing power?
The September Inflation Rate is STILL 6.83% GREATER than it was in September, 2020!
C. Inflation rate for September, 2022: 8.20%
B. Inflation rate for September, 2021: 5.39%
A. Inflation rate for September, 2020: 1.37%
People need to realize that inflation is STILL out of control. And the upward trend only accelerated AFTER the “progressive Democrat” was in office!
A graphic showing the inflation data is available at:
And monthly data is presented below:
September 30, 2022 ……. 8.20% <<(most recent available data.)
It would help if you had some idea of what you were talking about.
Those aren't "monthly data" values. Those are the "year-over-year" numbers.
"September 30, 2022 ……. 8.20%" means that prices are 8.2% higher than they were in SEPTEMBER 2021, while
"August 31, 2022 ………….. 8.26%" means that prices are 8.26% higher than they were in AUGUST 2021.
Now, you might notice something about those date ranges -- they OVERLAP by 11 months. Your counting inflation from last year in this month's number.
So, if we look at the actual monthly numbers, we see that it peaked earlier this year, and has been going down significantly over the last three months.
J F M A M J J A S O N D
2021 0.4 0.5 0.7 0.8 0.8 0.9 0.5 0.2 0.3 0.8 0.5 0.3
2022 0.8 0.9 1.3 0.6 1.1 1.4 0.0 0.0 0.2
Putting Biden's recent numbers right in the range of Trump's pre-pandemic numbers:
It won't be going DOWN until your "month to month" inflation rates are in the negative. What you might say, according to your data, is that while inflation is up from last year, it is not rising as much as it has in previous months. In other words, if you had an 8.4% increase the previous month compared to the year before, and an 8.4% increase this month compared to the year before, that would give you a 0% increase from month to month. Inflation is still bad, but not getting any worse or better.
