I received an email from Tivo reminding me that James Bond films have been coming to us for sixty years. They are all available on Amazon Prime; for how long, I don't know.

Damn, I'm old. I remember taking a bus to the cinema to meet my Dad after he got off work and we watched Dr. No together. Didn't realize it's been that long.

It's funny how things stick in your memory. I knew ahead of time exactly how James would kill that spider - how many hits and the spacing between them.

October of 1962 was an amazing month...

James Bond movies debuted
Johnny Carson started on the Tonight Show.
We discover Russian missiles in Cuba.

And I was born...

I'm not sure we can give you credit for any of those events. :)

That's never stopped me from claiming it.

I had read most of the original Ian Fleming books before the movies started coming out. They're real page turners.

I remember seeing Dr. No at the theater when I was 13. It was unexpected. Kind of like the Beatles appearing on the scene.

My wife and I just finished watching all of them from start to finish.

I noted the portrayal of females changed considerably over the time span; from simply a nice body to actually playing a role!
