I spent the morning at Fort DeSoto St. Petersburg, Florida searching for a bird that should only be seen on the west coast of the USA. I found the Bar-tailed Godwit which became life-bird #999 for me. I was able to see 58 species of birds yesterday for those who may want to find a fabulous south Florida spot to go birding.

Great set! BTW, The only thing that I know that rivals a great sunset is a beautiful sunrise to start off the day. Mahalo for sharing.
Beautiful set, Paul! Wonderful birds and a great sunrise. Congratulations on #999.
When my folks were alive and had their winter house in Florida (Plant City) we picnicked at Fort Desoto. That was before the new Sunshine Skyway bridge but after one of the spans was destroyed by a runaway barge or something similar.
Great set & congrats on #999.
