Beautiful pictures as your usual! Thank you.
Excellent group of photos, great colors. Well done.
Magnificently done, Bob. Reminds me of the following poem.
Trees
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earthβs flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Every year I embark on a fall foliage photo trip; usually a week early, a week late, or the weather has been too dry, or too wet. went up to souther UT last 4 days and hit about 90%, finally ( the reds were perhaps a few days past peak but the yellows, golds, and oranges were bursting out ). Was originally planning a week trip to upstate NY, but the colors were not ready, and I was not able to postpone that trip. What I finally learned to do was to call a hotel up in the area I want to go to; if the leaves are ready, I go. It is a little more expensive to travel on short notice, but the money is wasted on foliage that has not happened.
Having said that, where and when were you in this MI ( UP ? ) area; where did you take that gorgeous river shot from, I would love to have some recommendations from you; perhaps I can make MI the next year's foliage trip
The barn was my favorite ππ
Many beautiful photos. Brings back fond memories of when I used to live there.

As a guy raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I'm curious where in Michigan these were taken. As specific or generic as you prefer.
