I have for several years saved .psd or .psb files in the folders from which the raw files came, and exported them as .jpg files in a different folder on my iMac (2017, Monterey 12.6, PS 23.5.1). For the last couple of weeks, the .jpg files are frequently not to be found in the appropriate folder using Bridge, despite their being shown in Apple's Finder to be in that folder, and they can be opened into PS from that folder via Finder. The folder is on an 8 TB drive with 1.76 TB available.
I'd appreciate any idea about what could be going wrong and/or what I might do about it.

This could happen because under Bridge's 'Filters' you have something checked.

Thanks for the suggestion, FA. I just checked the filter panel - which I don't recall ever using or even knowing about - and nothing is checked.
