I think popular opinion is that we were there for all the wrong reasons. BUT - having said that, once our servicemen & women were sent to that hellhole they deserved our 100% support. They did not deserve having some hollywood &itch selling them out to the enemy.

In what way did she sell them out? She didn't steal confidential papers as one Republican recently did.

Some years ago, HJ spoke at some women's conference or sponsored by some on-campus women's group. I was with a sizeable number of Vietnam vets. I was there to photograph whatever might happen. I was also there to support those vets, although I'm not one myself. I did take some photographs of HJ on the stage. After she was introduced and approached the lectern, the entire group of us held up our hands, to show her she was number one in our opinion, yelled some profanity suggesting what she could do to herself, and walked out.

I still have the negatives filed somewhere but without knowing the specific date of this occurrence, it could take days to find them.

Thom, with the messages she broadcast, she's the equivalent of Iva Toguri D'Aquino, better known as Tokyo Rose. D'Aquino was sentenced to 10 years in prison for treason. HJ managed to escape imprisonment.

She was guilty of treason. The time interval MAKES NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. She should have been prosecuted to the maximum degree possible. Our troops and our veterans deserve nothing less.

I'm sure you say the same when it is directed toward conservatives as well. And your bridge for sale is barely used.

I can't tell you why we were there and what we hoped to accomplish, and I won't be holding my breath for an answer. However, I can tell you what you already know about what we accomplished... Absolutely nothing but the squandering of over 58,000 American lives. All those lives lost, many more maimed, me included while the traitorous bitch went on with her life: Acting, writing book, smugly appearing on interview shows and happily spewing her venomous b.s.

Well, in a way she was right and we finally got out of the domino called Vietnam. The Domino theory was simple if one Domino falls all will fall. Now decades later Vietnam is a vacation and trading partner. Monkeys and politicians enjoy playing Dominoes and think in a like manner.

I believe the Eisenhower administration sent the first military to Vietnam as advisors and the Nixon administration brought the last US servicemen out.

No, that's not what I said. My comment was that you support your fellow countrymen & women when they are sent out to die in some foreign hell hole. If you don't agree with the war, change it at home, not on the battlefield.
