I have a Tamrac roller bag that is so old now. I, too, can't carry much which is the reason for changing from a Canon 5DM4 to an OM-1 mirrorless. Still can't carry a backpack.

When I was in Iceland and a different time in Italy, I took my big rolling Tamrac! I have a photo of it in Iceland with grappel falling...the case worked fantastically! Here, during a snowy day, I just dragged it through the snow up/down hills. That old Tamrac has stood the test of time.

So perhaps a rolling bag will work for you? I am a Senior citizen with the usual aches. For me, this solution works best.

Normal rolling bags have very small wheels - great for airports, not so good anywhere else. I have been looking at beach carts which have large wheels which I could attach a camera bag to. I thought years ago I saw someone with the same issue who used some specialized cart with a seat but I can’t find it in the archives.

I can see that about the wheels. When going up/down snowy hills, I just dragged it. Perhaps the snow made it easier. I typically enjoy winter best and cold regions. Did try it in Italy...but that was on hard surfaces.

I hope you find what you need. It is difficult and expensive to try multiple models until you find something that is usable.

Thinking about a lot of ideas: beach carts, converting my 3-wheel golf pull cart, things called backpacking carts (some with 1 wheel you push, or 2 wheels you pull via a waist belt.

Does anyone have experience with any of these?

Blackest - Take a look at the latest lines of rolling packs and backpacks at Tenba.com. Their most recent designs incorporate thoughtful features and excellent materials. Good luck. /Ralph

My most recent bag is the tenba 32L black. Main reason the long central compartment which is long enough to hold a zeapon slider and a dji rs2 bag and still have a good bit of space.
