I really like this flower, although I don't know what it is called. I took multiple shots at several angles and it was just not working. So, I did my flower editing "rescue" thing. This one took quite a while and there may have been cursing involved. I've included the original. Thanks for looking.

End result beautiful. Yes, a lot of work even with modern digital.

Historically, I used a trick... I had a black felt and two wire supports that I would put behind to flower being photographed to eliminate the background.

Cursing or magic, however you got there, the results are beautiful. Very nicely done, Fran.

I think you have done a brilliant job with isolating the flower and making the colours pop but such a shame you have missed a few patches of the background by the stem and a few marks that show up on the double download. I know how hard and frustrating it can be doing work like this so as I said brilliant job..

WOW! It's hard to believe you were able to do that! It's a beautiful flower.

Wow, you have a level of patience orders of magnitude better than mine. You must have really wanted that shot.

Nicely done, looks like it was well worth your frustration, time, and possible cursing. Bev

Beautiful result. I don't think I could have done the job you did. I'd have given up after about five or ten minutes.

Keep on turning curses into blessings! It's a worthy endeavor.
