I enjoy it much more when we are easy-going with each other. As far as knowing what is going on with folks, I often send birthday greetings to people whom I follow who have their birthday's listed. And I have sent messages to folks who joined way back in 2011 or so who have never posted or made a comment. My message is something along the lines of "Happy Birthday, I hope you are having a great day. We hogs haven't heard from you since Nov 14, 2011 (for example) and have been wondering about how you are doing"? I agree it would be good to know what is going on, especially with the now silent regular posters. I am well past the age of retirement and I would not be surprised to learn that the majority of our members are of retirement age, or if not that, they're looking at fifty in the rear view mirror.

I sure as hell am not hiding my real name and not afraid to do so either. I sure had my share of nasty comments and replies especially when I first joined. I always end a comment or reply with my name, Bruce. My full name is Bruce Wayne Blackwell. When I joined I used a name I had used for years for just about everything just so I could remember and keep up better. Indeed, even though most of us have never met and probably never will, we still have a common bond for each other.
My two cents for today.
Bruce.
