Anotherview …, thnx , my brother told me the same thing ..,about the green shadow of the board .., it was a shadow that turned green during processing .., I had just left it in .., additionally as mentioned.., about cropping to remove the reflected light in the clouds.., I just took it out .., the main focus should be on the surfer ..,

Thnx all …

I would not have listened to the crowd. Your original is better. Nice work.

For many years a group of guys have gathered off Waikiki around 9-12 midnight to surf under the moon light …some of them have LED lights on their boards …

IMHO …, this is a hard shot to beat .. it’s a moving target off the light of a full moon ..more info than that would infringe on the proprietary aspects ..

A hint .., a boat with a powerful light …and timing ….

That is an excellent
shot! When I lived in Hawaii, at night, the wake of a surfboard beyond the break would sometimes stir phosphorescent, and the wake of the board and paddle strokes would glow.

That is an awesome shot. I used to shoot photos for Surfer Magazine, and I'm friends with a lot of the best surf photographers in the world on Facebook. Would it be okay with you if I shared that photo on my Facebook page, telling people that it's your photo and sharing what you said about it?

I just shared it on my Facebook page, which uses my name. Your photo will probably get some likes and comments in the next few hours. Some people may not bother to read the entire post, so some people might think it's one of my photos. That occasionally happens when I share a photo that someone else shot.

just another opinion, but Nick's sentiments are exactly mine. Maybe it has something to do with shooting TTL cameras long before digital photography and affordable computers with photo editing software was even imagined. Hey, anyone remember the old saying "the camera never lies"? Would be a silly thing to say these days.

Anyway, main thing is it's a truly great shot!
