I HAVE TAKEN SOME GREAT SHOTS SINCE BUYING MY CANNON EOS REBEL XS LAST DECEMBER....I WOULD LIKE TO DISPLAY THE NAME OF MY CHOICE LIKE " JAN'S PHOTOGRAPHY " ONTO THE FRONT OF MY PICTURES,,,HOW DO I DO THIS...???????
I SEE IT DONE ALL THE TIME....HELP PLEASE
DID NOT WANT TO USE ONE OF MY BETTER PICTURES YET AND ABOVE PHOTO WAS NOT TAKEN WITH CANNON BUT KODAK EASY SHARE Z1285 WHICH WAS A GOOD POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA FOR A LONG TIME.
you need to see if your editing program has a watermark ability. that is how I get my name onto to the images. I do this through adobe lightroom.3, I am not sure how other software works.

I make a brush with my logo and "
stamp" it onto my images on a separate layer then flatten the image. The reason I do it on a separate layer is that I use a bevel and emboss on it and change its layer belending option to make it transparent (but viewable). Note lower right hand corner of this post's image:

Picasa has a text mode where you can put your name on an image...And it's free.

As well, FastStone Photo Resizer has a watermark feature that has some interesting watermark properties. And of course . . . it's free :)
It's nice to put your name or company name on your pics. Techically anything you take as yours you own the copyright BUT word to the wise if you dont make the copyright imprint or co. name large enogh or across the middle you photo can be stolen right of the net. Today camera & tech savey ppl can STEAL your image & alter it as THEIR Own. Just a word to the wise....
Make your logo visible and small, and yes, everyone says it is easy to remove, yep, good luck finding my mark...
How did you do this in Picasa? e.g (change the font and color of the watermark)
If you have Elements 9 you can create your own and actually fade it so that you are able to place it over the photo, but still be able to see the photo. Go to Adobe tv and they have videos on how to do things with Adobe products.
