As I recall, it was a bright March afternoon, and I was shooting from under a picnic shelter, in the shade. Maybe that affected what I saw as compared to how the pics turned out. IDK. Just speculating. Thanks for commenting though!
PS. I just looked at the top pic and I see the shadow of the sitting goose is directly beneath him/her. Must've been noon.

Don't get me wrong - I think they are very nice. I just thought a little less exposure would be nice. again please don't think I'm rude but I have done some PP on two just to have a look. I should have asked your permission first.
