This is a photo of my Great, Great, Great, Grandfather. I would say the mid-1800s. I went through a "box" of photos and found quite a few in bad shape. I did the best I could through Photoshop, almost pixel by pixel. It took me about a month at about two hours a day.

Amazing to even have a photo that old. Photography had only been invented 30 years earlier. Great job on the restoration.

I’ve done a few similar pics with Picasa. Quite labour intensive but, such valuable images to family it gave me a sense of achievement. It’s worth it. I’ve never been able to drive PSE that I have, too complex for me.
Great job.

Your restoration looks faithful to the original. Now you have a family photograph for posterity.
