Windmills and Cotton

It is time to harvest cotton in south Texas. The quality of the cotton should be good because it has been a dry summer. The number of windmills continue to increase in our area. Like many other things, I find photographing windmills to be irresistible, but as their numbers increase, they are becoming less attractive. I can imagine in some environments windmills may not be looked on with favor. At any rate, I hope you enjoy the photos, and thanks for looking.

Nice set. I've never been to a windmill farm, is it true that they are noisy?

Very nice. I really like the first one with the windmill/oil well contrast.

Nice set. Love the juxtaposition of the "green" energy producer and the fossil fuel producer.

Nice set Dan. I've seen them in many places, a whole bunch in the pan handle, but the most shocking was in Ireland, I agree they can be very intrusive.
