I was looking at a tutorial on how to create a filmstrip using Gimp 2.8. I do not use Gimp, so I downloaded the 2.8 version and installed it. I designed the filmstrip as I was watching the tutorial. Everything went great, until I saved it to my desktop. I thought it would be saved as a JPEG....not so. Has anybody used Gimp, and knows how to save it as a JPEG?
you have to do an "export" to convert it to JPEG
Thank You noknees438 for the information about Gimp. I will give it a shot. Another question I have. Some how I have closed the panels on each side of Gimp program 2.8. Do you, or anyone else know how I restore them??.

In the top menubar, click on "windows", then uncheck "hide docks".
Thank You OddJobber. That took care of the right side, but how do I get the left side open??
Windows, Recently Closed Docks
O.K. OddJobber. I think I have it now. This is the first time I have ever used Gimp, so it's all new to me. I'm use to using PSE 10. Thanks for your help.
BTW,guys, I've been checking out Photo One's links. Portraits don't get any better than that! Great style, Kenny.
Thank You very much OddJobber. I appreciate that very much. Your very kind.
