I personally know many who have committed monstrous crimes and if I met them tomorrow and they recognized me I would never point out to my companions that the person is an ex felon who did time in a prison. That would be between me and him/her. I have had that happen and did not tell my friends how I knew the person, just that he was an acquaintance. If they have served their time then they are done. They have paid their debt to society unless they reoffend.
