The fabulous colors and beauty of sandstone.
Beautiful, I love the last one. Where were these taken?

Thanks for the photos, Pete. This is a place I learned about too late in life to have any hope of ever getting to see in person.
The Wave is on the Utah, Arizona border between Kanab Ut. and Page Az.
Absolutely gorgeous photos. #2 is my favorite.

Thank you for that location. It is roughly 1,000 miles from where we live in Southern Oregon and I suspect that we will never get there, however much I hoped that wasn't the case.
But one could easily spend months in that location, and nearby, looking at and photographing the incredible sights!
Those are among the most beautiful formations I've seen, and pictured very well. Thanks for posting them.
For those like me that wanted to know more about the geology of The Wave there is a good reference at WikiPedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wave_(Arizona)
from which one reads: 'The Wave consists of intersecting U-shaped troughs that have been eroded into Navajo Sandstone of Jurassic age.'
Oh yes! It is breathtaking in its simplicity
