Had one of those, 348 4brrl. Loved it.
Very nice! I always thought that the 58 Impala was every bit as nice as the 55 - 57 Bei Air.
Nice looking car. 1958 was the first year autos had four headlights.
Thanks for the great images. Think about how distinctive the 1957, 1958, and 1959 Chevrolet models were from each other. Has there been this sort of variation for the same model from any car company in the last twenty or thirty years? Nowadays, if I want to know what name of a particular vehicle model, I have to read the nameplate.

I had one. Wore out when my Father got it for me. Overhauled the 348 engine. Still ran like a dog. A few years later, I got a 59 Ford. Ran like a bat outa hades.
When they came out with the '58 us model-making kids were horrified. I mean, compared to the '57?! Haha, but now it's definitely beautiful...
Mine had the 348 with a Hurst spring loaded floor shifter. A 16 year old kid ran a stop sign and damaged the front end. It never was the same after that even though it was repaired. Sold it when I got drafted.
Had a 58 Biscayne in High School (1980's) and used to go side by side with Sonny's 58 Impala on the main drag on a Saturday night. For those that aren't aware if you look closely at the great pic of the rear end you will see the small panel on the left is a hidden door where you put the gas in.
