My thanks to each of you for your comments. As a bonus I am adding a photo of the recent Yellowstone River flood. This bridge is about 45 miles north of Yellowstone Park and the photo taken about 10 hours before crest. The previous max flow in 1918 was 30,000cfs. This year hit 51,400cfs,taken prior to the destruction of the flow guage. I didn't get any other photos as they closed all the remaining bridges shortly after this photo was taken.
P.s. there is usually 10 feet between water level and bridge.
