Early in the morning after a huge downpour during the night, I looked out my kitchen window where I had filled in my swimming pool. Two birds had wadded out into the water; faced off and were squabbling badly. The male looked totally disheveled mess who was complaining fiercely to his uncaring partner. She on the other hand was well groomed, confident and stood unemotional as she glared at her partner. I leaned forward toward them straining to understand their problem. I could almost hear him say, "Dang it, Melony. I told you I was having a bad feather day and didn't want to take a bath before your mother arrived! Are you happy now?" Comments are welcome. (I guess even the Common Grackles have their own unique problems.) Shooter41

Great shot. Looks like a Red-winged blackbird and a Starling.
