All that is obvious is your laughable continued attempts to be the 'know it all'.
Very simple. I do know it all
(or ~95% of "all"). Period.
You dont hafta accept that.
It remains true regardless.
Its clearly far beyond you.

I guess punctuation and grammar fall into the other 5%.
Sorry Steve,
I didn't write the poorly constructed sentence you're talking about. Maybe it's you who needs to review your writing!!

I welcome constructive criticism. Please clarify to what you are referring in this regard.
I only commented on a similar disappointment with Sony's outsourced "outhouse" repair center

Nope. Fully aware about that. Made some conscious decisions about cost vs benefit.
"Cost" ? Cost is frustration when typing on a phone.
Benefit ? Most hogsters have limited reading skills and my writing style wont make it any worserer. IOW I can see no benefit to writing more properly ;-)

I am aware of your prior comment, but none of my comments were in reference to it.

You have the right to write as you see fit. We all make mistakes, and writing on phones only makes it worse.
On the other hand, I find it tedious when people intentionally write poorly.

Amen to that. Thaz why I proof read, to avoid dropped words, ambiguity, poor sin tax, etc. Thaz what matters for clarity.
The manufacturer is always at fault. Never the customer. LOL

O think he said the card locks in place now. It would stupid to trust a door to hold a card in for any serious photography
This is what he said in his original post: "and closed the battery door to hold the card in an it works fine !!" Unless he stated otherwise in a subsequent post I take it that he is using the battery door to hold the card in place.
Just because you can use the camera as is does not mean a thing. I doubt very much that you use every function of it. All the technicians do is plug it in to their tester to see if all the readouts are to spec. If they are not then they make their recommendations.
I would be ticked of if they would tell me “ well, you can use it but such and such functions MAY not work”. What kind of service would that be?
Problem with service, both warranty and non-warranty: you rarely know if they are doing you right, or just doing you! It is worthwhile trying to find a local or semi-local repair shop because of that. I don't know if the main board contains the card lock or not, I know that I have the model previous to that one, and though old, it is still working okay. With much modern electronic equipment, it can very quickly cost you more than replacement cost to get something fixed. I used to do home computer repairs, but it was not very profitable for me to do it, and many of the customers were pissed that it cost so much to fix a simple item.

Well at least you achieve 100% at attempting, and failing, to blow your own trumpet.
