The title of this thread only reveals that you really don't understand markets. the current market conditions are due to forces beyond the control of any President. And you know I said this when Trump was president too.

That's BS, under normal circumstances you may be correct but the spending that was done by the Democrats in the name of Covid relief has had an effect. The biggest thing effecting the stock market is inflation, yes the supply chains are a problem but inflation is a bigger problem and inflation is absolutely a result of democrat policy.

Biden caused world wide inflation? Seriously?

So, when the bond rate was in the 1.5% range and the only entities actually buying and holding US treasuries were the FED and the Banking system that they used for reserve deposits, a slight of hand that the federal government uses to finance its debt, you are suggesting that federal policies that enabled so much federal spending had nothing to do with inflation? Are you also going to tell us that the inflationary pressures have nothing to do with the markets? You can say it Bazbo and I would generally agree with you under normal conditions but Biden has pushed things beyond normal and is a contributor to the current economic situation we are experiencing.

Hey Denny, do you remember inflation under Jimmy Carter? Reagan fixed that, you are wrong, the democrats have had a lot to do with our current economic conditions including the inflation we are experiencing.

Quite jumping around ! You claimed something about me that was a blatant lie.

Concerning Carter/ Reagan . It was actually Carter who appointed Voelker 14 months before reagan took office . He did do so knowing Voelker would raise interest rates.

The fact is . You prove over and over that you continue to use your very very limited knowledge of the market and the financial system to do nothing more than support you partisan political views .
Every time you are called to task on a subject you change /pivot to something new because you at least understand the first rule of holes-“ when you’re in one stop digging” !!!

Fed monetary policy (cheap money) goes back tot he end of the w administration when the world wide economic system was on the brink of collapse. And it was continued in every administration after that. Remember when LIBOR was frozen for the first time in history? I do.

Besides, you are now blaming Biden for Fed monetary policy when the Fed is actually independent from any Presidential administration. The Fed does not take orders from the President.

So now the Fed is raising interest rates to bring inflation (for which you also blame Biden) under control and if starts a recession and you will blame Biden for that too.

So no matter what happens it will be Biden's fault. Switching from monetary to fiscal policy, this reminds me of the early days under W when we had a budget surplus, we needed a tax cut, Then we had a budget deficit and you now what W's answer was? You guessed it, We need a tax cut.

I was waiting for this. I remember you pilloring Pres Trump every time the stock market dropped 100 pts. Of course, it went up 300 pts the next day. But that didn't matter. Anything bad in America, Orange Man's fault. Today,

Inflation up,
Gas Up,
Deficits up
Stock Market down
etc...

Not the president's fault.

what a different tune you are singing.

Remember when the Market was up under Trump, everyone including many not-with-Trump on this forum, said that was due to Obama's policies. So up-markets are attributed to the last democrat President but they can't bring themselves to blame the current democrat for crashing markets? Interesting how that works.

WELCOME BACK CARTER, sung to the tune of well, you know.

Welcome back Jimmy Carter, your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about

Well the names have all changed since you hung around
But those dreams of being the worst president have turned around

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya
Back here where we need ya
As the old worst president we've ever known.
