We will see, the governor does know a bit about the law, but you might be right, certainly if I were on your side of the issue I would be questioning if this was not a clear cut example of punishing speech. BTW, there is nothing in the Florida law about being Gay, simply states that teachers can't groom 5 to 7 year olds.
The fact such a law preventing grooming is even on the table apparently says a lot about democrats and their headlong rush to deconstruct society.

That is not free speech but insurrection.
So you say they are repukes. Lol
Don't believe a word of it but worthless imagination

Says more about Republicans and their use of fear to win elections.

Have you read the law Thom? I don't know of one parent that wants sex education to begin in grades Kindergarten through third. Do you know anything about the law or do you just know which side of the political aisle you are on?

It should be pointed out that is coming from an ex TRUMPF attorney . . . How much does anyone want to believe in THAT?

I am not at all sure about the law and whether or not this case has anything to do with first amendment rights.
It certainly seems inappropriate for teachers or ‘the system’ to be “grooming” kindergarten to third-graders . . . .As far as I’m concerned, the ban ought to persist through grade-school and maybe middle-school as well.

I don't know anything about the law, but I suspect the kids are safer in school than in church. Are there even any suspected cases of "grooming"? My suspicion is the law was only even thought up to scare parents that liberals are trying to turn their kids gay. If "grooming" means what I believe it means, isn't it already illegal. I wouldn't think sex would even come up very often, but a law saying you can't even mention it seems rather extreme to me. Do you really believe there are a group of people trying to turn young kids gay?
"grooming
Learn to pronounce
noun
1.
the practice of brushing and cleaning the coat of a horse, dog, or other animal.
"regular grooming is essential to the well-being of your dog"
2.
the action by a pedophile of preparing a child for a meeting, especially via an internet chat room, with the intention of committing a sexual offense.
"online grooming has become a growing cause for concern"
Obviously it is definition #2
I would think that would already be illegal.
Do you believe kids are being "groomed" by math books? I don't believe it.
I was taught early on to not bite the hand that feeds. Apparently no one ever taught DeSantis that.

Thom, the best place to see what was going on in school classrooms was "Libs of TicTok" where a private person was finding and reposting videos of teachers talking about themselves and their students on twitter, but of course the censors at twitter don't want you to see them so many of them have been taken down and the poster is often suspended.
As far as the Florida Bill goes, it is only 7 pages double spaced.... Educate yourself, read it!

Read the bill and comment. Just how is Mouse Land prevented from exercising their corporate 1st Amendment Rights?
To paraphrase Professor Kingsfield - "Fill the chatroom with your vast Constitutional knowledge and intelligence!"
We're waiting.

Just shows how tiny you are Dirt, you are so political that you support grooming of small children because it is what you think your political party stands for.
