Luminar Neo

There is a new update to Luminar Neo that is a major improvement. After I ran the update, the program would not start in Windows 10. After several attempts, I was able to fix the situation by uninstalling Luminar Neo, disabling my VPN, logging into my Skylum account, downloading Luminar New and installing. That worked like a charm. Probably we should give Skylum some slack, as they are mostly in Ukraine, and they are in a terrible war.

I just bought Luminar Neo just to support Ukraine. No need for it nor did I have any intention of buying or using it before. But after hearing the discussions, like this one, about Luminar being Ukrainian, I decided to go ahead and support them with a purchase.

I had no problems with downloading or installing (on a mac). The process was flawless for me.

I have never had any problems downloading or installing updates to Neo or other Luminar products. I use Macs, so maybe there is a reliability difference with Windows.

I've had no issues with Neo installs or updates. Running on PC with W11.

I own personal experience with Luminar through four versions is that I’ve always had issues with installs. It took weeks with their tech people always via email (you can’t talk to a warm body) before it worked right.

Although I loved each version I’ve sworn off buying new versions and will continue to use Luminar AI which is fine.

I can't install presets I've purchased...they are supposed to work in Neo. I got them for AI.

I’ve been using MacPhun products for years. I loved their plugins. Then they decided to be multi-platform with a catalog. Since then I’ve lived through Luminar, Luminar 3 , Luminar AI etc. Never been reliable so I occasionally use some feature. I pre purchased Neo hoping it would be different but when the first release came out it was missing so many basic features I said that’s it and asked for my money back then they said we’d have thirty days after a stable release so I held on. Then Russia invaded. They can keep my $ and I’ve donated to groups like Direct Relief who has sent millions of medical supplies to Ukraine. Without the war I’d be saying ‘fool me once shame you, fool me 5 times; how stupid am I? I wish them all the luck and my prayers are for the Ukrainian people, my curses for Putin and his supporters

Never had any problems with Luminar 4, AI or Neo installs/updates. Just installed Luminar version : 1.0.5.9506 with no problems. Running Windows 10 Pro

I think that the only feature promised that hasn't been delivered is Panorama feature which they are still working on. I have seen improvements and new features added. We don't know which staff members are working on features and other improvements. They have a staff of 103. All of the women and kids are out of country I believe, however no males can leave so they have people all over. As someone who owned a software development company with a vertical application, For am in awe of what they are accomplished.

Just updated Luminar Neo using the "Check for updates" menu item in the program. New version installed and runs, no problems. Windows 10 Pro. YMMV.

No problems here, going back to Luminar 3 through AI and now Neo. I still use Luminar 4 for some features not yet included in Neo, i.e. copying/pasting a mask from one filter to another.
