Hummin' along...
The story here is not so much the subject but the fact that I managed to get it! I was at the Fullerton (CA) Arboretum yesterday ostensibly to shoot roses, after doing that and using a single shot setup on my new Z9 I was walking out and, luckily, decided to put the camera into a BIF/animal mode. I'm still learning the different characteristics so no guarentees, haha, so I was actually focusing on some textural foliage and *heard* this bird not 6 feet away to my right. I swung the camera and blasted a burst before he/she zipped away. First shot is the pick of the litter, you'll notice the super busy, and similarly colored background where somehow the camera got a good focus. Second shot is not your prototypical hummingbird shot (or any bird for that matter!), but a great example of what a 1/4000th shutter will get you! (I'm using the 70-200 f2.8 S lens here).
Good reactions, excellent set!
Oh, I don't know! I'm very familiar with shot number two!
