So sorry Pam you didn't quite make it, but it was nice and quick. Thinking of you. xx
Thank you. Yes, nice and quick and not unexpected and she's in a better place now. xxxooo

Sending loving caring thoughts for you and your siblings and step dad. I know you realize it is better this way, but it is never easy to lose your mother.

Good morning all from sunny Norfolk, background heat, hot water on tap and sunshine, I'm a happier bunny today. Next door are having a new entrance made to their front garden so have a big JCB parked outside our house, something to watch I suppose. Nothing else I want to do although might sort out what I might need next in the yarn department and make a list for DH. Then get dinner and knitting. Have a good day, hope the sun shines for you too. xx

Good morning! We’re going to take a drive in the country today!
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:38 am EDT and -3'C (27'F). Sun today.
Rail workers in Toronto Union station are on strike. It is not affecting freight trains, but is affecting the government trains that take workers into Toronto. Since the government train doesn't stop in Port Hope and Cobourg, so it doesn't affect this area, but will cause delays for others.
We had re-Instant Potted beef last night. I had Instant Potted an outside round on the weekend. It was in the Instant Pot for 45 minutes and natural released the steam for 45 minutes and was still too tough to eat. Well, last night it went back into the Instant Pot for another 45 minutes with 30 minutes of natural release and it turned into the most tender tasty shredded beef I've ever had. That must have been one tough old cow.
Lovely, the TV says Russia says it is fortifying its forces in the Arctic. For years the Russians have been landing watercraft and leaving things on our Canadian Arctic islands and claiming that the islands belong to Russia because of some underwater land bridge visible only to them. Our Canadian Rangers, (Inuit who belong to the Canadian Armed Forces) have been allowed to claim anything that the Russians leave for their own salvage, so the Russians have not been allowed to claim any permanent foothold. This makes me worried.
Yesterday was very slow at work, which surprised me. I expected the "Monday" rush of tickets and it didn't happen. So I did a bit of knitting while I was waiting for work. My shopping tote is going slowly. The pink tank is growing quickly and I am avoiding the tubular bind off of the LYS KAL cardi.

Me checking in. Got to Lacey this morning to find out my mom had passed away as I was on my way here. Visited with my stepdad and older brother for a bit. Now am going to spend the rest of the day with my sister and see my stepdad later today, too, before heading back up tomorrow morning. Thank you all for your comfort and support. xxxooo
I'm sorry that you weren't able to be there and sorry for your loss.
I'm sure you have lots of happy memories to remember.
Lots of <hugs>

I had a good laugh this morning..on the sister site a member referred to the forum changes being caused because the site now owned by Canadians, because it is black and white! I don't know if that's true or not. It seems some think we only think in monochrome! I'm still laughing...gosh, they miss their yellow backgrounds terribly!!
They must have been thinking of a Canadian winter that seems to be black and white forever. They don't know that Canadians celebrate every other colour because our growing season is so short.
I couldn't figure out what the poster was replying to, because it doesn't show the original post. That's confusing.

I'm happy when everyone posts, just to say you are still there and still well.
