Great image...well shown! Looks like he looked away, also looks like he's sitting side saddle. I am amazed to see this pic taken in North America in the 21st. century. I am amazed to see 3 horses rather than 2. (brings back memories)

nice photo ...for years i was a delivery driver in a vast amish area. wished i carried a camera back then..I can tell you that they don't like the camera ,they feel a pic.is stealing thier soul

I've heard a lot of comments that the Amish really don't like their pictures taken, so if you intentionally shot while the gentleman was looking away ... kudos for you! On the other hand, I've always felt that ALL horses like to have their picture taken (I really don't think they know they are "Amish" horses).
At first I was thinking "too much sky", but after I studied this for a while I think it really works very well with this shot .. very thought provoking ... great job!

His face was turned away because they don't like their pictures taken...however it was quick as we were driving by when I took it. The Amish will probably be the only ones in the USA that will get along fine if our grid gets knocked out ;-)
