Wonderful shots angler. What are you using to make such great shots?
Great shots Jim.
Did you use the Big Sig. ? Downloads take soooo long here, so I don't have the EXIF info.
Cracking shots angler, well done

Cheers VHD-Tex and thanks for looking it's appreciated.I used my Sony alpha 550 coupled with aSigma 150-500mm lens.I'm really enjoying using the lens and find it Heavy but very versatile.
Angler --- I have the same lens. Are you using a tripod with a gimbal head or hand held? Sorry for so many questions as I am trying to do this kinda stuff and it has been a challenge.

Hello again Tex, no problem.I take the photos hand held and in my opinion the secret is in the panning, you need to keep your bif in the centre of your lens as though you where shooting a gun i suppose.I have left the exifs on the post previous to this. The other thing is practice and i must tell you you will not get 100% of your shots perfect but dont get disheartened it will come in time.I f you get 5 good shots out of 50 at first you will find that your confidence will get better and the satisfaction you get when you do get a few decent shots is fantastic.Hope all this helps and dont hesitate to get in touch again, you have a great lens there.Dont hesitate to use your Tripod when the birds are reasonably still, neary forgot to tell you that.
Jim.
