I’ve been trying to get the silver Fujifilm X100V for over 2 months at this point. I’ve had it on backorder.

Does anyone know if it’s in stock in any stores around you (and not for $1800)?

Just wondering. I know it’s really popular and that there is low stock coming in still.

You would probably be better off with a real MILC like the Fuji X-T4 or X-T3. I have a X-100T and a 23mm lens is very limiting. Most products are on back order right now. Satisfy your GAS by using the equipment you have.

I have an X-t2 and an X-T4 that I use nearly everyday. I’m in the process of selling my X-T2 as I want the X100v as my easy take anywhere camera when I’m just out and about. I have no problem with the fixed lens. I placed my order a couple of months ago but was just told it could be another few months. So I was just checking to see if any smaller stores around the country have it.

Readily available here in western Canada, but I am guessing you are not that desperate, correct?

I haven’t been checking outside of the states. I’d be interested looking into it as long as the price is the same as it is in the US. I don’t want to pay $1700 or $1800.

And I have a couple of cameras that I currently use while I’ve been waiting for my order.

But it’s worth checking into. Which stores do you recommend up there?

If you think you might be interested in IR photography in the future, rather than sell the X-T2 (you’ll probably only get around $500-$600 for it) you may want to have it converted to IR for a couple hundred bucks. You would then have one fantastic IR camera. Just a thought.

Yeah! It’s been crazy. I totally get that there is a shortage of parts which isn’t helping, but I’m pretty excited to get my hands on it. I saw a couple of the all black versions up for sale, but I want the silver, and luckily I have other cameras so I can wait, but who knows when it will actually ship.

Someone told me Abe’s of Maine has it in stock for a reasonable price. I know that store has had some bad reviews in the past but seems to have some decent ones lately.

Anyone have any opinions about buying from Abe’s these days?

I haven’t done one yet. I’m waiting to see the specs on the X-H2 which should come out later this year. I might buy it to replace my X-T2.
One company I’m looking at for an IR conversion is Life Pixel, which has done thousands of them. They have various IR sensors for different effects. Check out their website.
