My first wedding shoot

So, it happened this past weekend - one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to and I got to shoot it!! It was quite a learning experience - I found that my beloved Z70-200 lens does much better in daylight than in the challenging light of our sanctuary - the shots were ok, but softer than I would have liked. I found that when posing the bridal couple on a step they should have positioned themselves toward the back of said step - the bride ended up looking like she was levitating 6" off the ground! I was able to salvage an otherwise decent shot by giving it a 3/4 crop, but lesson learned. I think my overall score for the ceremony would be about a 7/10 - I am definitely NOT a professional, nor do I play one on TV!

I think you did a very nice job, Sue. Considering this was your first wedding shoot.
I think the Bride and Groom will treasure these images.

Very nice job. Two suggestions. In the bridal portrait have her rotate a little more toward you. Signing the license show his entire face. When I did weddings I would pose them for this shot.

This wasn't posed - I had to take it as it happened. I'll keep in mind your suggestion for the bridal portrait if I ever do this again.

Nicely done Sue and congrats on shooting your first wedding! It's one thing to think you can do a wedding, but actually knowing you can is an amazing feeling. I'm sure they will be happy with the pictures.

Nice couple. I found that one stem that is higher than the rest of the bouquet annoying. I would have cut it to be more or less be in line with the overall height of the arrangement.
