Portraits from the Raptor Rehab. Center
I was lucky enough to get to the rehab center last Saturday and see all their beautiful birds. Sad,sad stories on most of them.
All the shots/subjects are great but i think the Great Horned Owl is very imperssive. The mottled colored freathers against the background are beautiful. (The eyes go right through you.)
They're all beautiful shots. Maybe it's just me but their eyes are so expressive, just tears at my heart. The falcon especially, I can hear him, "Will I ever fly again?" So sad.

Lovely series Shane.
Thank you all very much for the kind words!
Gregory this one is a newer one closer to Mt.Dora. Haven't been to the one you are talking about in a long while. I might have to take that trip here soon.

Ah, Mt. Dora, one of my all time favorite Fl. small towns.

so stately and powerful looking. No wonder an eagle is our national bird and so many schools chose raptors as mascots.
Raptors are some of the wonders of the world. Beautiful shots!
Nice shots Shane, very impressive birds also.
Great shots, and hats off to you for taking the time and trouble to give us their names.
Fantastic shots "Wow" I would be overjoyed to take shots like those.
Christine
