Beautiful shots of a beautiful hawk!
Very well done!!! Beautiful captures.
I am wondering if it is a Sharp Shinned? It sort of looks like my first year hawk pics. I think I labeled it "Cooper's Hawk". But was corrected on the title.

Very nice capture of a European accipiter!
For North Americans: The Sparrowhawk of England and Europe is Accipiter nisus, and the Sharp-shinned Hawk of North America is Accipiter striatus. Similar in size, but in fact if put side by side, although similar, they do look different from each other.

Nice . Is the location near you?
richardh76 is right on. The bird often referred to as a "Sparrowhawk" Stateside is also know as a "Kestrel", a falcon. This guy is the equivalent of our Sharp-shinned Hawk, as Richard stated. Beautiful shots. Beautiful bird.

Beautiful bird, excellent pictures!
He certainly displays the attitude of Henry Hawk. Looks like he'd be ready to take on Foghorn Leghorn. Great shots!
