OK, I purchased a unit that have a stand that I place on the upper dash board (in case you want to 'catch up' on technology). ;-)

I am old school military. I trust a compass and a topo map more than GPS for off the beaten path excursions. I will use the GPS on my smart phone to get the co-ordinates for a spot.
