Thanks Mike. I think that is my very first post (other than a link to a video I named "Getting There ... Is The Best Part) that only contained still photos). But, I'm not certain anyone saw that posting.

It has been awhile since I was last in Sierra Vista. Are those the Dragoons or the Huachucas?

Clout, my wife showed me a map and it showed us the mountains are: Huachucas They certainly add to our everyday viewing!

While stationed at Fort Huachuca in the early 90s, my quarters were next to the Cemetery with the entrance into Huachuca Canyon just a hike away.

Ramsey Canyon, the San Pedro, Tombstone and Bisbee were all excellent ways to decompress after a hard week. And the back roads could be interesting.

You sound like you like "adventures" as well. I even made a short video on what is the best part of Geocaching. I titled it "Getting There ... Is The Best Part." It is entirely made up of photo stills taken when walking to or from finding a geocache. If that sounds interesting, I'll try to send you the link (the uglyhedgehog staff would not let me post the image in this photographic discussion group. I had to place it in the "link" discussion area. I hardly go to that group so I assume many others are like me and don't either.

My days of finding things using a compass and map are behind me.
