Nothing "Sad" about it.
It's not just how the Hog works, it's how all newsgroups, echo mail, usenet and internet forums work.

Still sad that it happens.
(Not joyous.)

If it didn't happen, the forums would have so little traffic they'd be boring, dead and gone.
That would be sad I reckon.

Or, they'd be able to be more productive and informative,
with little or no garbage scattered all over.
Justhisonce--There are numerus people read the UHH each day and hopefully everyone chimes in on occasion. You are one of the insightful ones, and confirms why i come to this website each day. A lotta smart people hang out here.

Once I read Pareto in my economics classes, I realized he was right. 20% of virtually anything is great. The other 80% of the same thing is just filler, or fluff, or even crap, in some circumstances...
Think about what you encounter in daily life that is NOT like that. Where the public is involved, you put up with 80% to get to the 20% that matters TO YOU.
I can find that frustrating, or I can accept it as part of life's beautiful pageant. I can do my part to make things better, but often it doesn't matter. Not everyone wants the best of something.
A rusty orange 1971 Chevy Vega with a loud muffler might suit someone's purpose... A new Lexus might be a priority for someone else. Comments here or in any forum follow similar patterns.

I simply ignore the superfluous.

Yep, very funny, very true, and true of all internet forums.
And highly entertaining.
For the record, Idea bulbs are only drawn that way. In real life, some effort is required to light them up. And more effort to convert them from a cartoon drawing to a spec diagram.

Obviously, I didnβt spell it out, and in my 6 years here, itβs the first time Iβve even done that. I used it jokingly and for emphasis, but if it offended you or anyone else, I sincerely apologize and promise not to do it again.
Apology accepted. I'm sorry for bringing attention to it but I've just seen and heard it too often and am totally baffled by it's use.

Yep. The thread title could easily have been:
"List of things that makes all Internet Forums go round?"
Gray market bulbs are cheaper, buyer beware.
Don't forget to tick the box to "Store Original Image" of the light bulb!
Be well! Ed
