Wow that news hurts deep. He was truly talented and his niche was well served by his enthusiasm for the surfing life. Can't remember all the times looking at his posts and feeling the energy come right through. Especially liked that he recently did the "anthology" recap. Never met him, but he was a kindred soul that shared the same love of photography. Rest easy and I hope the swells are good my friend.
Remembering Brent. And joining in tribute. In images, symbolically.
Sad to learn of Brent's untimely passing...my sincere condolences to Brent's family and friends and may they find peace and strength during this difficult time.

Yes we were friends for 6 years and I would love for Sean to join your group
To Brent's family I offer my deepest condolences. One could easily see Brent's orbit was close to his family and his photography was a means to catalogue the journey. He once posted a photo of a surfer who was just past the point of salvaging a ride, the upcoming splash was suspended between the board and the steep wave. I've never surfed so, tongue in cheek, I asked Brent if the surfer was getting on or off his board. His witty reply was 'Getting off. Early'. I'm sure many of us wish for 'one more day' with you, Brent.
Final Farewell Brent - you have gone ahead of us on the way we are all heading. I enjoyed your wonderful, vibrant photography and will treasure your memory - my heartfelt condolences to the family!
Brent was a gentleman, kind and generous in thought. We'll all remember him.

How very sad. His surfing pictures amazed me because whenever I visited Huntington Beach, the ocean was fairly calm and not much surfing happening. He and his contributions will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Brent's Passing. Condolences to his family. I was very recently in San Diego trying to get some surfer pictures and I thought of Brent many times as I continued to fail to get a good shot. I so admired his photographic work.
Crushed to hear of Brent's passing.
I rarely miss an UHH edition and always clicked thru to his posts.
That man could shoot! As his family can see - he will be missed

Unfortunately, our UHH friend passed away last Thursday, from covid. As a tribute to Brent I think it would be a nice gesture to share one or more of your favorite ocean-themed photos. I don't think many of us could equal the beautiful shots that Brent shared, but perhaps we could share ours with his family. R.I.P. Brent and God bless your family.
RIP Brent you and your pictures will be greatly missed
I am so sorry to hear this.......he was such a great photographer and human being. What a tragedy for our friends and associates. He will be missed.

Saddened by the news of Brents passing. He had an enjoyment of life few folks I know possess. So fortunate he shared his work with us.
