Both on Amazon Prime -
"Parallel" is a movie that involves parallel universes. We've all heard the theory that there could be parallel universes very similar to our own. There would be versions of us there, but we would be different. That's the idea behind this movie. Four software developers discover a way to visit parallel universes and see how they can profit from what they learn. I thought it was a clever idea.
"Mortal" is a movie from Norway, but the main characters speak English. Otherwise, you have subtitles. I don't want to give away the plot, but it involves a Norwegian American who goes to Norway to visit relatives, and he discovers that he has unusual powers. It's strange and interesting.
Thanks for the tip, Jerry. I’m a big fan of sci-fi and Scandinavian movies; this gives me both in one viewing.

The Norwegian one is definitely interesting.
There's another good Scandinavian movie involving wives who want to kill their husbands. It's been so long that the title has been automatically deleted from my memory banks. I can't find it on Netflix, so it's probably been removed.
I've been watching "The Trip" on an off, but it's somewhat unpleasant. That's why I watch a bit and go to something else.
One of our favorite internet channels is MHz Networks. It is an American public broadcaster that specializes in international television programming. We watch with the subtitles on, as most shows are in another language. It's surprising, though, how much English is spoken, especially when people from two different countries with different languages, converse. English is their common denominator. Most of the songs on these shows are in English, too.
This network has shows from many countries, many crime and cop shows, Scandinavian noir....They offer a free trial. We have subscribed for years.

Sounds good. It always surprises me when I'm watching a foreign movie, and all of a sudden the characters start speaking perfect English. Another thing that surprises me is hearing the characters throw in some random English: "Have a nice day." "Good luck," etc.
English has become the universal Language.

If you want a parallel universe, Apple+ has "For All Mankind" which is a story of what would have occurred if Russia landed on the moon first. I found it paralled our history fairly well, with some added changes.
Is it available on any streaming services? Netflix, Amazon Prime for example?

Speaking of parallel universes, I was a huge fan of "Fringe". All 5 seasons are available for free on IMDBtv.

I'll have to look for that.
