Do you want to show solid black back ground? OR perhaps direct some subdued light from side to add contrast to velvet wrinkles in background? Might be nice to add to an otherwise crisp well arranged image.

I like the first image and the third image equally. Other members were suggesting different looks for the background. I'm very happy with the final photos as they are. I don't want to add additional attention to the cloth.
