Stream Locator

Stream Locator is not an app for fishing or swimming. Rather, it's an extension for Chrome or other browsers that allow Chrome extensions. It lets you watch TV from other countries without paying a monthly fee. I just added it to Edge. I clicked on Disney+ in England, and I began watching a movie. That's all I know about this app. There are lots of videos on YouTube about it.

I imagine you still need to have a membership in the individual streaming services?

I don't know why I would need this, but when my sister lived in Mexico she was not able to access US streaming - this would have been helpful for her.

I think the point is that all you need is the app. They have a device, too, for $100+.

I think the point is to be able to watch paid services from other countries without paying the monthly fee. As I mentioned above, I was able to start watching a Disney+ movie from England. I'll have to see what the YouTubers have to say about it.

Years and years ago when I was younger I was curious in pirate programs for some games. Only time I wound up with keyloggers and virus's on my computer. Be careful Jerry!

My nephew just gave me his take on Stream locator. While his response is long, it sure puts and end to my trying this site. BEWARE!!
What a waste.
It advertises itself as a “VPN-free” streaming service, but it has NO content itself. It really doesn’t locate squat, it depends on you having existing subscriptions to streaming providers like, Disney+, Netflix, HBO, Discovery, etc. Then it simply routes your traffic through the cloud ☁️ to get around regional blocks/restrictions.
Heck, I wasn’t impressed when the first thing they demand from you is an email address so they could “keep you updated” ie SPAM you. So, I gave them @zzholes a fake address so I could actually continue to use the plug-in (you can’t click on squat until you succumb to their ransom). Next, I looked at their short list (only about 8-12) of streaming services. There’s a few (45%) no-names in there, probably private overseas. Only the top three: DAZN, DiscoveryPlus, and Zattoo had drop-down menu’s for choosing a streaming location…Wow, what a long list of options…NOT!!! What CRAP, only two locations per drop-down. So I selected a location for each, clicked on DAZN, and had a new browser tab pop up. The new tab that opened said, “sorry the website couldn’t be found :(“. So I closed that tab and tried the second location for DAZN, but got the same results… Not impressed. Then I did the same with DiscoveryPlus, only to have that tab come up and the DiscoveryPlus website state, “Sorry this content is not available in your location”!!! Wow! I thought this streaminglocator was better and supposedly prevented this?!! Hmmm 🧐… Can you say absolute $H!T?! Of course I have a cursory look at the other options, but met with much of the same results. Plus, as expected, when you hit the big providers, they want you to sign-in & have a paid subscription. No, I didn’t enter any of my subscription details through this piece of crap, I don’t trust it; especially given what I’ve seen.
Additionally, upon digging, I see that this plugin is just bait 🪱! It is only there to entice the fools into getting potential sucked in, so they can sell you a $99 a year or more for a subscription to their streaming (noVPN) service and/or (this is the more $$$) for a piece of hardware (A custom/branded network WiFI router). First, I wouldn’t pay diddly for this crappy service. Secondly, you’d be stupid to buy a branded, little-known, custom router to your network!! You’re just begging for these scumbags to steal your data. Or worse trust their hardware/software to keep your data safe. In fact, I’d bet they’d have multiple security flaws and you’d be an easy target for the Chinese/Ruskies!
Heck if you’re that hard-up for borderless streaming( ie getting around country/region restrictions) on your device, it is MUCH more secure and cost-effective to simply run your own VPN. Heck, I’ve been using ExpressVPN for nearly two years now at home and on my mobile devices (where the connection bandwidth is lower, because it’s cellular) and I have NO slow-down and have confidence my traffic is secure. Plus I can be routed through nearly 100 or more locations worldwide, at my command/choice. I also run my own personal VPN (which is FREE), to secure comms between me and my ‘puter. The point is, for the same amount of money or less, you could get a big-name VPN (ExpressVPN, NordVPN, etc.) to secure you & eliminate region restrictions with little-no-slowdowns (I say little and I mean little, as in you as a user would NOT notice microsecond latency because of the encrypted tunnel).
In all stay away from these shams! Just use Pluto, Peacock, Roku, Crackle, CrunchyRoll(popular with the kids for anime), etc. there’s plenty of free or low-cost providers out there.

Thanks for that. One thing, though: I am still able to go to Disney+ in England and watch several movies. I didn't watch them all the way through, but I was able to begin watching them and advance farther into the film. According to what StreamLocator says on its site, I should need a subscription.
