So, I go to the market to get some Super Bowl snacks.I open up the Klondike bar I just bought and THERE'S A DAMN HOLE IN THE MIDDLE. What a cheap company. How much can they really save by cutting a hole in each one? Did they think we wouldn't notice, or care? I'm so sicking pissed at companies downsizing the product and upsizing the price.

And I go to the self wash car wash. I drop in 2.50 of quarters before I notice the price has been raised to 3 bucks. I'm out of guarters and there is no way on the machine to return my money. Wow. Screwed twice in one day.

Notice how large the holes in Saltine crackers are lately?
They must have saved a lot!!!
Jelly runs through the holes now.

Usually if my crackers have big holes in them, itโ€™s from weevils and not a ploy of the cracker-industrial complex.

Another example of a rip off. Pepper Jack snack crackers previously were packaged containing 12 crackers with pepper jack cheese between every two like several other snack crackers, selling here for $1.09. Recently picked up another package, paying $1.21, opened the package and found only 9 crackers, stacked 3 high with the cheese in the middle and the cheese tastes like it has a filler of some kind in it now. I'll definitely not buy this ripoff again.

So, I go to the market to get some Super Bowl snac... (show quote)

We went to the 1987 Super Bowl. NY Giants beat Denver the tickets were about 100 dollars
In 2008 the NY Giants were playing the Pats in the Super Bowl. We went to the game. I think each ticket was about a thousand dollars. In 2012 we went again for a rematch. We paid over two thousand each for better seats. This year the average price is close to 5 thousand. So like your snack, it's all about the cost of doing business. Cheap has nothing to with it. We made the choice to buy the product, the tickets. We were happy. Does your snack still taste the same?

Never had a hole in the middle of a Klondike Bar, and where do you get a carwash for $2.50

At least when this article was published the Klondike Bars in question were labeled in large print "Klondike Donuts". That could be a giveaway - what the article doesn't say, though, is whether or not they reduced the weight of the product inside the package.

You lot are getting shafted a lot worse than that every time you put juice in your car;
a US gallon is over half a litre (nearly a pint) short of a real gallon.

Was in Canada on a hunting trip some years ago; their gallon contained about 5 quarts (imperial gallon). The price was about 25.% higher, so it all balanced out. Funny note; met a guy there from Florida that thought the Canadian gas was great; said he was getting about 25% better gas mileage in his PU than he was back home. (Think about it :-)).

What a rip-off...! When I was in the 5th grade I could get a small bottle of Coke for five cents. We had a "milk machine" in our school where we could get a 1/2-pint of milk for two cents.

I paid $3.00 for the glass of soda that I had with my meal last night and most of it was the ice..! Of course, with the price of bottled water, perhaps $3.00 for the soda with frozen water was about right.๐Ÿ˜œ

I was in eastern Canada in 2014 and 2017 and gas was sold by the liter (or should I say litre). On the average, everything from gas to motel rooms to American chain fast food was approximately 30% higher in American $ even after doing the conversion rate.

The marketing gurus are sneaky. They make the product you buy have less amount than before, but make the packaging the same size. They do this to keep the price the same as it was before this shrinkage, hoping you won't notice.
Ever wonder why there is so much air in a bag of potato chips or cereal?
