Hi everyone,

My first time working with (really) long exposures. This was 5 minutes, shot at dawn. I used a 10 stop ND filter from Blue Frog.

I was afraid the pier wouldn't be well lit compared to the rest of the scene, so I turned on the flashlight on my cell and waved it around under the pier.

Gear: Nikon Z6II
14-30mm f4 Nikon Z lens
ISO 100, F11, 5 minutes
Tripod (obviously)

This came out beautifully. The pier is sharp and I like the colors and smoothness of everything else. ~ Rich

Wonderful image! Can you share with us how you determined the exposure? Looks pretty much right on.

Thanks! Trial and error, honestly. There's a card that comes with the filter, which shows you what the exposure should be with the filter on depending on what you meter with the filter off. So that was close.
