If you miss seeing the 15 year old Russian figure skater, you're really missing something.

Yes she was fantastic, and the 18 year Canadian is very impressive as well!

What I really liked about the 15 yr-old Russian was she skated to Bolero and her timing with the music was incredible.

John, did you really think that it wouldn't, even though you asked that it not?

I don't care much for the Winter games, though I could watch Curling for a couple hours. But NBC will show artistic skating until I'm sick of it. Summer games are better, though you don't see much table tennis.

REALLY brainwashed, aren't you. Too bad more or less half the population gradually has been led down such a declining path. If it's not arrested, you'll need to learn to converse with the Chinese, Russians or North Koreans. Move to glorious (totally out of control) San Francisco now, as later you won't be able move anywhere - probably boarded up (welded!) inside some facility, as millions of Chinese now are.

Well you just had to do it didn't you, just amazing, absolutely amazing. The subject is the Olympics not what you said.

No issue with that. What NBC is actually doing is videoing each event in full on USA then useing highlights from that for their NBC coverage of the Olympics. And that NBC coverage is poor, they're inconsistent from one site to another, they show the statistics (important for those looking to compare one competitor to another) for each event only briefly and spend more time on non-competitive issues like family shots, interviews, etc. But the real topper is that they showed the premiere alpine skiing event, the men's downhill only at 2 AM with no highlights during normal broadcast hours because a US competitor didn't medal. Like I said, no thrill of victory or agony of defeat. Where's Bob Costas or Jim McKay when you need them.

Olympics or not, I record everything and watch it when I want to, and I can zap the commercials, or any extraneous material I don't care about. Also, Peacock, which is included with my cable, has all events on demand. I haven't had any trouble watching any events I care about.

But not on NBC if you really want to see what's going on. I stream specific channels from Spectrum for far less than their normal service costs and don't get either USA or Peacock so I'm stuck with NBC which is being offered as the main station to cover the Olympics. Wasn't the case in past Olympics but that's the world we live in today.
