To me, yes, the second is overcooked. The first looks more natural.

In the first image, select and work that sky with Levels. A little more contrast and saturation is all it needs, IMO.

I like your #2 the best and I my screen it is not overly done, perfect on my BenQ monitor.

Off course everyone has different taste. I think the second one has more visual impact and is beautiful.

If you processed no. 2 using Luminar 4 the sky could be lightened and the clouds blurred which would have kept the emphasis on the rocks.

I prefer #1 and Fred's rendition in PSE. #2 is a little over done. All are very good.

When looking at these images one after another, #2 seems over done. However, If I just looked at #2 without ever seeing #1, I wonder what my opinion would be?

I think that the second one is a bit too much.
But it still is a nice capture, and you are the author. You can do anything that you like.
