Hey, it could have been a parking lot.
About 1968 or 69 I saw Joni Mitchell while at Villanova at the Main Point, a coffee house in Bryn Mawr, PA. I was sitting not 5 feet away from her drinking hot chocolate and eating a hot fudge covered brownie (yeah I had the munchies). She sang "Both Sides Now" (Clouds) and I fell in love that night.
I also saw Linda Ronstadt there sitting in the same seat with the same effect on my young heart. She sang "Different Drum" from her Stone Pony days.
You are a lucky person flip1948. In 1969 got to see the Rolling Stones and again in the 90's.

I was in love with Linda Ronstadt! Sad that she had to stop singing (she suffers from Myasthenia Gravis). As I get older I get a little nostalgic listening to the great music of the 70's and some of the great precursors - the Everly Brothers, the Kingston Trio, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Ink Spots, and others. There is a current adverisement (Campbell's Soup I think) using Ricky Nelson's "Anyone Else But You" - he had so many great songs.
I saw the Kingston Trio in Atlanta went I was about 15. That was in are around 1958 I think?

I met Linda Ronstadt back-in-the-day at a club in Greenwich Village. She was sitting at a table next to a friend and me and I struck up a conversation…no idea who she was. We chatted for about ten minutes when somebody came over and said something to her and she looks at me and says: “fun talking, time to go to work” and she climbs up on the stage. A memorable night.👍
You have my sympathy Steve.
Warm regards,
Alan

Seems like change is a fact of life. Great to have images of how it was.
The first photo is a really nice night shot.
