Well folks, thanks to my room mate loaning me a credit card for a new lens, and having scrounged up Xmas funds and another loan for a body, I will have a new rig as of this coming Wednesday.
At that time I will be heading back to the Rookery to try my luck.
All of the lamps at the Osprey sight, which is in a parking lot of a super market, are being changed out to LED.
And they will not be conducive to Osprey nest building. So this pair will have to find a new nest location after all these years.
I am pretty sure this female is getting up in years, as she is not making herself available for mating as in previous years, and as of today, no sign she is sitting on any eggs. But all is not lost, her chicks last year came about the Last of February - early March.
The store management is leaving their nest lamp alone until they are finished rearing this set of chicks should they happen:)

Mighty fine shooting there Danniel, it is also very nice that the landlord is leaving the nesting pole in place until the kids leave home. Thanks for sharing. usn ret pentax shooter

Thanks usn ret. Yes I was surprised they said they'd wait till they were grown up, but i am pessimistic lol, corporations always find a way around a problem, so wee will have to see :)
Eldest brother was Seabees, also retired:) He loved that.
I try my best to get good shots, I manage about 10% keepers on a really good day, but it is in reality more like 2% these days lol.
But It's the thrill and enjoyment of trying that gets me out the door :)
Very, very Nice shooting.
Thanks all, glad you enjoyed them.
Hoping to be at the Rookery soon.
Lens will be here Tue :)
Thanks Don, Hereford, Earnest, Kpmac, Angler.
I might have to wait till Sunday for the Rookery, although with the busted lens, as we have a cold front moving in and it will be raining, and I have No clue if the weather sealing survived the damage.
I also ordered a 1.4x TC as I have never used one and interested if it will help with the smaller birds.

Thanks mate.
Yea he's a really nice guy. Before I got SSI I had a minor surgery to patch me together, but I could not work.
He loaned me a card for a year till SSI and Medicare kicked in and I got the first surgeries.
It took a while to pay him back, but I was a lot healthier and happier by then :)

Thanks God, there are people who do not hesitate to extend their helpful hand when somebody needs it most, Danniel...I am glad that you feel better and sincerely hope you’ll stay this way! Keep taking nice shots and posting them!
