Nice photos!
All of my harriers have a definite white rump.
Seems to have the wrong head shape, also.
Almost appears as a Prairie Falcon, or some kind of Falcon.....?
That would be my thought too.

Fabulous set, Ken. The downloads are beautiful. The exposure and focus in photo #1 was spot on, creating a true three dimensional image.

Immature Peregrine Falcon. The long pointed wings and malar bar (under the eye) are dead giveaways. An adult would be slate gray. Nice capture.
Correct! Harrier would have a white rump and a face that looks owl like.

Looks like a Peregrine Falcon to me. The pointed wig tips give it away.

Gray ghost?
I can't argue with any ID at this point. Thanks for looking.

Thanks, shutterhawk. Seems like that is the ID most agree with. I'm leaning that way, too.

Thank you, Joe. I have found it difficult to get good hawk images as they are so timid and fly off before I'm ready to shoot.
