Life preserving, not performance enhancing.
He was never banned from the competition. He was banned from the country by the Aussie immigration and Political leaders. This meant he was unable to participate in the tennis competition, the authorities of which would have welcomed his presence in the event with open arms.

Can't comprehend his message?
It's a JOKE.
A vaccine isn’t a drug. He lied on his immigration form. He behaved selfishly and stupidly. He obviously thinks that rules and laws don’t pertain to someone as glorious and important as him.
He got what he deserved.

For the sake of discussion (or debate), according to Wikipedia, by definition: "A drug is any chemical substance that causes a change in an organism's physiology or psychology when consumed. Drugs are typically distinguished from food and substances that provide nutritional support." Therefore, I assert that a vaccine is a drug.

I find the coverage confusing. He got a waiver/exemption through a medical vetting process. He was deported because of the effect of his presence on good order. I got the impression that the whole problem arose because of lack of a thorough review process - involving all those who might say “no” at some point - which seems to be borne out by the anti-vax tone of those who demonstrated to support his waiver.
All in all, he is an amazing, outstanding tennis champion. But in spite of that, he is just a tennis player.

A vaccine is most certainly a drug. They are made by drug companies and require a prescription. And they can ONLY injected by a licenced health professional
